Μεταδιδακτορική ερευνήτρια ανθρωπογεωγραφίας και αστικών σπουδών. Επιστημονικά Υπεύθυνη του έργου ‘UnSettle-Αλληλοτεμνόμενες διαδικασίες και εμπειρίες αστικών εκτοπισμών στην Ελλάδα’ και Εντεταλμένη Διδάσκουσα Κοινωνιολογίας Χώρου στη Σχολή Αρχιτεκτόνων του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης. Είναι Διδάκτωρ Σπουδών της Πόλης και Μεταναστευτικών Σπουδών, του τομέα Πολεοδομίας-Χωροταξίας του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου (ΕΜΠ). Έχει εκτεταμένη εμπειρία στον σχεδιασμό, συντονισμό και την υλοποίηση διεθνών και εθνικών ερευνητικών έργων και έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλά Πανεπιστήμια και Ερευνητικά Κέντρα. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την συνάντηση με την διαφορά και την ετερότητα στον αστικό χώρο, τις διεθνοτικές σχέσεις και τον μικρο-διαχωρισμό, τον καθημερινό ρατσισμό, τη γειτονιά και την καθημερινή ζωή, τους αστικούς εκτοπισμούς, τις γεωγραφίες της μεταναστευτικής και προσφυγικής εγκατάστασης, έμφυλες γεωγραφίες, τις στεγαστικές και αστικές πολιτικές, τον εξευγενισμό και την τουριστικοποίηση, την προσφυγική υποδοχή και φιλοξενία και ευρύτερους αστικούς μετασχηματισμούς.

Ίρις Πολύζου
Συνεργαζόμενη ερευνήτρια
Σπούδασε Κοινωνιολογία και Αστικές Σπουδές στην École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). Εκπόνησε τη διδακτορική της διατριβή σε συνεπίβλεψη στο Université de Poities (Εργαστήριο Migrinter) και στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο, Τομέας Πολεοδομίας και Χωροταξίας. Συντόνισε τετραετές ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα στην École française d’Athènes με αντικείμενο τις χωρο-κοινωνικές μεταλλαγές στην Αθήνα και είναι σήμερα συνυπεύθυνη του ερευνητικού προγράμματος Atlas Global Network στο ίδιο ερευνητικό ίδρυμα (πενταετές πρόγραμμα της EFA, 2022–2026). Έχει συμμετάσχει και συντονίσει ερευνητικά προγράμματα χρηματοδοτούμενα από εθνικούς και διεθνείς φορείς, μεταξύ των οποίων H2020, AMIF και ΕΛΙΔΕΚ. Οι δημοσιεύσεις της περιλαμβάνουν άρθρα σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά, κεφάλαια σε συλλογικούς τόμους, συνεπιμέλεια ειδικών τευχών (BCH-mc, Γεωγραφίες), καθώς και πρόσφατη μονογραφία που εξετάζει τη σχέση μετανάστευσης και αστικού χώρου (Ville et Migrations Internationales, BEFAR, 2025). Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζουν στις ανισότητες και τους χωρικούς διαχωρισμούς στις πολλαπλές κλίμακες, αξιοποιώντας ποσοτικές, ποιοτικές και εθνογραφικές μεθοδολογίες. .

Ιφιγένεια Δημητράκου
Επισκέπτρια συνεργαζόμενη ερευνήτρια (09/2025-01/2026)
Senior Scientist in Social Geography and Urban Studies, University of Zurich. She holds a PhD in Urban Planning and Urban Policy (Politecnico di Milano) and master’s degrees in Urban Planning (TU Delft) and Architecture (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). Her doctoral thesis focuses on the spatial and social processes of vacant property production in densely built neighborhoods of Athens. Her broader research interests include issues of housing, displacement, and socio-spatial segregation, with empirical research in cities in Germany, Switzerland, and Greece.

Orçun Çobangil

Orçun Çobangil is a Research Assistant in the subdivision of Urban, Local Government and Environmental Politics in the Department of Public Administration at Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir/Turkey, where he completed his PhD (2017–2023) and Master’s degree (2015–2017). His academic work focuses on urban studies, gentrification, urban memory, toponymy, and socio-spatial transformations, with a particular emphasis on the cultural and political dimensions of urban change. He has participated in international conferences, contributed book chapters, authored articles and worked as a researcher in funded interdisciplinary projects, particularly in the fields of urban sociology, and urban governance.

Marina Volpe

Architect and urban planner. She took her bachelor’s degree in architecture in Roma Tre University where she developed a strong interest in social and urban contexts and a strong belief in the importance of the observation of informal practices. To better understand the urban environment, she attended her master in Urban and
Territorial Planning at the University of Naples Federico II Territorial Planning at the University of Naples Federico II with a thesis entitled ‘Criteria of access to Public Housing in the city of Naples’. Her studies focus about housing, social and spatial justice. With an ethnographic interest in the urban context, she refers to multiple disciplines – sociology, critical geography, anthropology and urban studies – to adopt a open research methodology. Her current research field is about migrant subjectivities’ pathways of housing access in italy and power structure within them.

Lamiaa Ghoz

Lamiaa is a researcher, architect, and urban designer with experience across academic and practical fields. She holds a BSc and MSc in Architectural Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo. She is currently a PhD candidate in the joint interdisciplinary DLGS program between the Leibniz Institute for Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) and the Technical University of Dresden. Her PhD research focuses on circular economy, with particular attention to the reuse of vacant residential buildings across different contexts in Cairo, Athens, and Görlitz. Her research interests lie at the intersection of cities, housing, sustainability innovation, and technological advancement. She has contributed to interdisciplinary research, with recent publications on residential vacancy reuse and AI ethics and urban policy.
